Before You Go…
Any preconceived notions about ANTI-Hustle being synonymous with “not working” or even “not working hard” have to be stripped away right now because that ain’t it.
We all know the layin’ on the couch, get-rich-quick schemes that require zero work and even less effort don’t pan out. Heard?
The problem isn’t work or even hard work. The problem is that the hustle lacks. Exactly what does it lack? Plenty, but we can start with clarity.
“Hustle,” to some, means “working hard and sacrificing for a clear goal” — not the worst. To so many others, hustle sounds a lot more like “working harder and faster and longer than everyone else in the room” because the “rent is always due”— not the best.
The problem with that kind of “hard work” is that it exists with no parameters, no defined beginning or end, and no boundaries.
The thing is, working hard is essential, but only within seasons of our life when we need it to achieve something tangible.
So, to us, that isn’t the hustle; it’s the ANTI-Hustle instead. Then, what’s the flipping difference? Hustle will forever tell you, “There are no seasons except for one — hard work always.”
Hustle is the unending season of ‘work for the sake of working’ persona, it’s the ‘if you’re not growing your dying’ attitude, it’s the ‘everyone is a competitor’ mindset, it’s the ‘never stop, never settle — I’ll sleep when I’m dead’ living nightmare, it’s the ‘never bother to actually define what you want (ANTI-Hustle), because there’s NO TIME — JUST DO IT’ mentality, and it’s just. not. worth it.
The colors don’t change there. In truth, while there is definitely hard work to be had, you don’t have to work hard indefinitely to be successful.

PREFACE
Hustling — ever heard of it?
It’s thrown around in so many different contexts, that even pinning down a single agreed-upon definition is an unnecessarily hard and time-consuming challenge.
Most simply put, the hustle is allegedly about working hard and grinding it out to achieve ultimate success. And, only by going all in — the long hours, sacrifices, all the missed moments i.e. doing whatever it takes — will you finally get “the bag” that Mr. Broadus talks about so often, what you’ve deserved all along in the end.
Some people out there truly live and die by the hustle. For them — maybe for you, too — the hustle is the only way of life they know.
Hustle mindset!
Hustler mentality!
I’m an #OGHustler!
They’re always grinding, always working, and always trying to get to that mythical sweet spot called “ahead.”
And, for years, everyone has seemingly agreed that hustling is the only lighted path to success.
“Self-made” millionaires and billionaires swear by the idea that working harder and longer than anyone else is the basic approach to reaching even the easiest goals. (But I’m not so sure they do.)
They say it’s all about grinding day in and day out to make your dreams a reality. (But I’m not so sure it is.)
But, what about ANTI-Hustling — “and just remember ALL CAPS when you spell the name” — ever heard of it?
In context with all the hustle culture claims, you probably already guessed that the ANTI-Hustle has something to do with the exact opposite of major hustle culture tenets. You’re half right.
In its most basic form, the ANTI-Hustle Model posits that the goal of entrepreneurship is happiness and freedom — time & financial freedom — and that choice is truly the greatest gift of running your own business.
You should know that there’s a promise of so, so much more.
This book is a step-by-step ANTI-Hustle Handbook with the information and the power to change your life, shift your mindset, and even build the foundations upon which to create successful 7- or even 8-figure businesses.
REAL big talk, right?
I come with first-person proof to back it up. Don’t worry, I wouldn’t have sent it to print if I didn’t.
You should also know that you have options for how to approach the contents of this book and how to use the information to benefit you.
First, there’s no wrong way to read this book, and it’s entirely up to you.
After all, the real reason you became an entrepreneur was for freedom of choice, right?
(I mean, people aren’t out there trading regular 9-5’s for longer hours and a worse boss for just anything.)
But since it’s still my book, I have a few very professional recommendations…
I thought you might start at the very first page of the book and read the whole thing, PART I: The Hustle & PART II: The ANTI-Hustle, love it, mark it up, go back to it, read it again and again, take pictures with it, frame it, read it one more time, display it prominently in your home or business. Or, whatever you think, just so long as you start reading.
And, if you’re a print person, I thought you might give it the honor of earning some coveted coffee rings and gasp maybe even fold over a corner or two as bookmarks.
Go right ahead! I love that!
Or don’t — I know folding book corners is a polarizing practice. No pressure.
However, if you’re already knee-deep in the business end of, well, your business and you need actionable steps to take — like yesterday already, sir — then make a beeline straight to PART II: The ANTI-Hustle.
From there, read PART II: Chapter 1.
This is the chapter that will outline how to find what you need in the second half of the book and how to best use what you find there to your advantage.
You’ll also locate an assessment at the end of that first chapter to match your needs to certain chapters in order to help best prioritize what you need right now on your ANTI-Hustle journey.
After that, do what you will.
At that point, it’s probably not quite yet time to display The ANTI-Hustler’s Handbook prominently in your home or soon-to-be 7-Figure business, but you absolutely could.
You could also move to the next chapter and the next chapter after that to continue your progress.
If skipping around isn’t your thing and you have a little time on your hands, you can also read this book in a more traditional, linear way, from front to back.
The trick will be to find what works for you and your business.
Hint: That’s what the ANTI-Hustle model is all about — redefining and achieving YOUR version of success FOR you.
And no matter how you decide to approach the material, you’ll walk away already having firmly planted the seeds of change in your life.
So, if you’re an exhausted coach, consultant, freelancer, marketing agency, or other B2B/B2C service provider with BIG dreams and a packed schedule that overwhelms you more often than it pays the bills or pads your wallet, get ready to grow your mindset and your business.
The ANTI-Hustler’s Handbook will show you how to get from where you are right now to where you want to go with the tools and tactics you need along the way.
